Liron E. Rafael is a contemporary artist and the creator of Ancient Paradise — an evolving body of work built through painting, intuition, symbolism and years of visual exploration.
Her practice moves between mythology and contemporary life, archetypal figures and personal memory, the natural world and the landscapes of the unconscious.
Rather than illustrating a fixed mythology, Liron creates her own — one that continues to evolve with every painting.

Ancient Paradise is not a single collection, style or period. It is a living artistic universe.
Across paintings, archetypes, landscapes, animals, figures, portals and symbolic forms, recurring images begin to speak to one another — forming an evolving mythology of human experience.
The work explores what lives beneath language: instinct, desire, memory, transformation, vulnerability, power, tenderness and the mysterious forces that shape who we become.
THE LANGUAGE OF PAINT
Each painting begins somewhere between intention and discovery.
Layers of oil, colour, gesture and texture accumulate over time. Forms emerge, disappear and return. A figure may become an archetype. A landscape may become a memory. A colour may become a feeling.
The process is intuitive, but the finished work is deliberate — an original presence shaped through attention, instinct and time.
ARCHETYPES AS PORTALS
The archetype is one of the central languages of Ancient Paradise.
Warriors, queens, lovers, guardians, gods, goddesses, animals and eternal figures appear throughout the work — not as characters from a fixed story, but as forces we recognise within ourselves.
Each archetype becomes a portal: a way of entering a particular state of being, a question, a memory or a possibility.
A BODY OF WORK NOT A SINGLE SERIES
Ancient Paradise has been developing through years of painting, moving through different bodies of work while retaining a continuous visual language.
