Some paintings begin with an idea.
Reflections began with a question.
For years, I’ve been fascinated by the way we build our identity. Not from who we truly are, but from the stories we tell ourselves, the masks we wear, and the reflections we choose to believe.
When I painted this piece, I wasn’t trying to recreate a classical sculpture. I was searching for the moment where the timeless meets the contemporary—where perfection collides with chaos, where ancient beauty encounters modern consciousness.
The graffiti, geometric forms, and layers of paint were never meant to decorate the figure. They interrupt it. Challenge it. Reveal it.
As I worked, I realized I wasn’t painting marble.
I was painting the psyche.
Every layer became another thought. Another memory. Another version of the self trying to emerge beneath the surface.
That is why I called it Reflections.
Not because it reflects a face.
Because it reflects the invisible architecture of the person standing in front of it.
Every collector will discover a different painting.
Because every collector brings a different reflection.
